Today it was just Adam and Tom as the girls were ill. So we decided to play a game with the listeners!

Everyone had to send in a sentence to make a story1

It went like this…

Mr badger was sitting on the speaker when… (TOM)

…adam walked into the studio singing the bob the builder theme tune but… (CHARLOTTE)

…he decided he would go for a walk… (DAVE)

…because he had to go to the toilet before the show started at 5!! (CHARLOTTE)

…On the way to the toilet, he met the badgers sister!… (FFION)

…”Madge!” he said “what u doing here?”… (DAVE)

…”Adam!” she screamed…”I need your help to…” (TOM)

…”pick which outfit to wear for the NME tour tonight!” (FFION)

…So they headed off to Madge’s place! (TOM)

…Adam and Madge headed to the Brayford but unfortunately one of the more chavvy swans thought adam was looking at his girlfriend and so swam over to set him straight. In the ensueing chaos something very strange happened… (ADAM)

…Adam’s paw broke…(DAVE)

…And it started drowning… (FFION)

…Adam’s paw was wet but he saved it from drowning… (DAVE)

…Adam jumped into the lake where the swan was “swimming”, slapped it and walked off.

Today was “The Day The Music Died” - 50 years since Buddy Holly’s plane crash. We played some Buddy Holly and American Pie to remember him!

In this show we also got Tom to run up and down the 8 flights of stairs in the University’s Media Building and time him. Then you guys guessed how long he took and the person who got the correct answer won a Rubix Cube!

Congratulations to David who guessed Tom took 1 minute and 23 seconds. He is now the proud owner of a Rubix Cube! Hoorah!

Karen announced that she spent all day in the pub….but it turns out her dad was listening and wasn’t very happy with that!

Today was national “Blonde Brownie” day…but again we had no idea what that was so instead we went with yesterdays national day which was national “Squirrel Appreciation Day”.

We learnt lots of facts about squirrels and informed innocent bystanders of these facts.

They loved it, we loved it, and everyone appreciated the squirrels!!

Today was national Penguin Awareness day - and so we made you aware of penguins! We even found out and played you what noise they make!!

Today was also national buttercrunch day, but none of us knew what that was!

Yesterday was national popcorn day though, and we all know what popcorn was, so we all brought in a different type of popcorn to try…all of us except tom!
